The Bike is Really Well Built
Team,I originally reviewed this product when it arrived several weeks ago. It wasn’t a favorable review because the gearshift didn’t work to my expectations. I reached out to the company And they responded back very quickly. They provided me a new bike and the product works great. I love my recumbent bike and the only thing better than that is the customer service from this great company.

Excellent bike
Got this exercise bike today. It comes in a big heavy box. Some of it is already assembled. The instructions are clear. All the parts go together easily. Its very heavy and sturdy. The levels are good. You can get a good workout on this. No complaints at all EXCEPT THE BLUETOOTH IS GARBAGE. IT WILL NOT CONNECT TO ANYTHING!! The manufacturer is working on a resolution. Very helpful support people. UPDATE Got a replacement led screen/computer & everything works great THANKS AMAZON & MERACH FOR RESOLVING THE ISSUE!!

Excellent Customer Service
Very well made and sturdy, with a comfortable seat and easy to make adjustments for resistance and seat position. I just completed Cardiac Rehab and wanted an affordable way to continue exercising and I think this was a great solution.Customer Service was very helpful -my bike was missing 2 bolts for the handle bars and they sent me the missing hardware. Thanks!

Easy assembly but sturdy!
I like the ease of assembly. Everything needed is provided. Once assembled, it’s sturdy. The peddling system is quiet. There’s a place for pad/phone. Comes with water bottle holder. All in all I’m very happy with the purchase

Nice bike poor resistance
Wish I read the review about the resistance probably would have chosen a different bike. Other than that it’s quiet, fairly easy to set up, and comfortable to ride.

So Far No Good (Updated)
Updated 5/9/2024I am updating my review to share that Merach support has provided a refund of my purchase for the issue we had. They were quick to respond and indicate they are going to review their build process to see if this issue was a one-off or anything else that can be done to prevent it from happening to others. Working with them was easy.————————-The bike is currently in multiple pieces in our family room because one of the pre installed bolts won’t come loose and let me attach the seat.I will update this if it gets resolved satisfactorily, however for now I can’t recommend this bike at all.

Good value for money.
This bike is super well built and heavy. They delivered it to my house and I had them set it down by the steps. I then opened the box and took the loose parts inside to where I was going to leave it. The main body was heavy. I was able to get it up three stairs and into the house, where I set it on a heavy blanket, then dragged it to where I wanted it to be. Assembly was easy enough and all required parts were there. Heads up on attaching the rail that has the seat mounted on it. It’s held on by two long bolts. I had trouble pushing it thru the four holes. I finally figured there is a smaller screw already in it’s hole under the seat in front that you need to take out in order for the rail to line up with the holes. There is a YouTube video for this exact model. If you blink you miss them saying to remove the screw first, secure the rail, then put that screw back in. It holds the front of the seat down. Peddling is very smooth and real quiet. There’s very little difference in the first few settings, but the high setting does make peddling harder. Seat is comfortable. Also the bar attached to the seat assembly swings down and out of the way so you can sit down. It doesn’t stay up no matter how much you tighten the clamp screws. That’s how it’s designed. You grab them and pull them up and you get your heart rate on the display. You can see the sensor pads in the handle. This bike seems bulletproof. I’m confident it will last a long time. Great bike. Cheers!.

Quality Bike
I came across this brand when I was looking for a replacement Elliptical. I was a bit skeptical because I was not familiar with the company but did some research. I decided to purchase the Elliptical AND couldn’t resist replacing our Recumbent bike because the price was right. I couldn’t be happier with both purchases. The bike: Easy to assemble using the provided instruction (it’s a plus that a large portion is already assembled when it arrives), Also, everything you need to finish the assembly is provided. After assembly the last thing to do is put the seat where it’s comfortable for you and hop on and pedal. A couple of things to note: I found the seat difficult to slide back and forth at first but sprayed a little grease on the area where it slides and now it slides easily. Shifting gears with the lever is super easy, please note that you will see little difference in the resistance between 1-5 — it’s designed that way — use the higher numbers. The only noise from this bike would be from you when riding in high gear…the bike is quiet! Pedaling is very smooth and not at all clunky. The seat is comfortable and I appreciate the mesh backrest. I waited a few weeks to write this review because I wanted to use the bike, it has been put to the test. Bottom line: Quality machine, reasonable price tag, and good customer service.

Well built but resistance settings are almost useless
I really want to like this bike. On the plus side, it’s solidly built, super quiet, and is comfortable to sit on. The LCD is easy to see. It was straightforward to set up, and the assembly instructions were excellent. On the minus side, the resistance settings are terrible. There’s a “gear-shift” style lever to select resistance levels 1 through 8. Here’s how the different levels feel:1: No resistance whatsoever. Completely useless for a workout.2: No resistance whatsoever. Completely useless for a workout.3: No resistance whatsoever. Completely useless for a workout.4: No resistance whatsoever. Completely useless for a workout.5: No resistance whatsoever. Completely useless for a workout.6: No resistance whatsoever. Completely useless for a workout.7: A little bit of resistance. To little for much of a workout8: Difficult. Similar to the highest resistance setting on other bikes. As you can see, there are really only two usable settings. Whatever engineer designed the actuator for the magnet clearly didn’t bother trying to actual pedal the bike. There should be eight settings in between the current #7 position and the #8.UPDATE: I added a fourth star because I’m so impressed with the customer service. Based on my review above, MERACH reached out and offered me a full refund for the bike. That was very generous, but I wouldn’t feel right taking my money back. It really is a very well-built recumbent bike, and I’m pretty happy with it. Yes, the lack of dynamic range in the resistance is a bit inconvenient, but on the flip side it has forced me to pedal with more resistance than I probably would have chosen otherwise. In the end, it’s fine for me, but might not be for someone looking for a little less (but not zero) resistance.

Very well made, Easy assembly
Good price. Solid like a rock once assembled, and comfortable to ride for both myself (5’11”) and my wife (5’6″). Every hole and screw perfectly aligned, great written ENGLISH instructions, and great video instructions that match. All tools included. Even included an extra of the two screws you are most likely to drop. Best Chinese made product requiring assembly that I have ever purchased by a long shot! Other Chinese companies have a lot to learn from these dudes.

Wish I Purchased Sooner!
I had been looking at recumbent bikes for almost a year. I wanted a quality similar to what I have used in physical therapy but for a reasonable price. Also wanted to use this in the bedroom so didn’t want one that would take up a ton of space. This one is perfect for me. It’s very sturdy and well made, fits perfectly in my space and has provided me a lot of pain relief. I had a spiral hip fracture and subsequently have a lot of hardware in my body from hip down almost to my knee. Even with the exercise routine provided by my physical therapist I have a lot of stiffness and weakness on my left side. This recumbent bike allows me to loosen up my muscles in my hips and knees almost immediately. I find the seat to be extremely comfortable. I have read other reviews that mention it doesn’t work as well for tall people, but I am 5’2 and it is just perfect for me. My grandson is 5’11 and he doesn’t have any complaints, but it could be a drawback for some that are taller. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to put together. I dread putting things together but the directions were simple and well thought out. I scanned the QR code provided so that I could watch the YouTube video that went along with it. I was able to put it together myself. I only wish I purchased it sooner. It sat in my Amazon cart for a couple of months before I decided that this was the one for me.

Good Quality Bike
The bike arrived promptly, well boxed and all parts packed well to protect. Assembly went well but I have 50 years experience in automotive repair and maintenance. I would think for those mechanically challenged and working with the simple tools provided it could be frustrating and needing to seek help. One particular item others mentioned, the seat bracket bolts didn’t line up, no problem a 5/16 drill bit and a long tapered punch, but how many people have those handy. That needs to be corrected in production.I use the bike most days, it works as advertised, very smooth and quiet. I wish there would be more resistance in the lower speeds because there is a lot of difference between 6 and 7. Also wish the HR monitor was more accurate and give a positive reading but I guess you can’t have it all in a $500. bike.Overall I would recommend it to my friends.

Well built. Comfortable.
The bike seems very solid and the seat and positioning make it much more comfortable than a vertical bike. The assembly takes a while but is well explained and pretty straightforward. The parts are well labeled with tight tolerances so everything fits together well. For the price, this is a good buy vs the bottom of the line bikes. Haven’t tried the app yet.

Limited Adjustment and Resistance Options
TLDR: If I was 5’11” without a need for finer gradations in resistance, my ranking would be 1 to 2 stars higher. If I was that person, this machine would be an incredible value. The full reviewI purchased this machine for about $400, so my expectations were not high. Based on previous reviews, I was most concerned about whether the seat settings were adequate for my height, 6’0″, (barely), and whether the resistance points meet my needs (they do not).Assembly of the machine was adequate. I never got the two screws flush that connect the seat assemble to the frame, but they were sufficiently secure that I was not concerned about the machine holding up and holding together. The seat itself is okay. It’s not the most comfortable, but definitely within acceptable range. However, I do not like the pedal straps at all. Adjusting them for multiple users is a challenge and would take too much effort to do often. However, if there is just a single user–or the other users don’t need to adjust the pedal straps–then the straps are fine. In particular, I’m not sure my wife would have the strength to remove the straps and reattach them at a different more appropriate notch.I wish it had real pedal arms rather than attaching directly to the flywheel. I found myself wishing for more clearance between my heels and the flywheel. However, if I consciously keep my feet straight, I could avoid bumping my heel into the wheel. However, if I did try to keep my foot perpendicular to my leg, my heels would scrap the floor underneath the pedals (I wear size 12 shoes). Again, not a major problem but an irritant nonetheless. The good: Construction seems adequate and, given the price, better than expected. Operation is quiet and smooth. There is some side-to-side motion at high cadence, but even some expensive machines do this. The heart-rate monitor seems reasonably accurate. It did bounce around quite a bit, but it was mostly within 3-5 bpm of my Apple Watch reading. I didn’t pay attention to any of the other modes except for speed. I have no idea how accurate this is–I’d much prefer a cadence reading instead–but it did seem consistent. When I pedaled faster, the number went up (20-25mph was a good workout pace for me with 30mph being my max). What I didn’t like:I wanted another inch of room for my 6’0″ frame. However, I wasn’t uncomfortable, and I did not find my knee bend excessive. My biggest problem, and the deal killer, is the limited range adjustment for resistance. Other reviewers have mentioned that they did not notice any change in resistance until it reached 6. I did not try any settings below 6, but I did find that 6 did not offer adequate resistant. Unfortunately, neither did 7. However, 8 provided too much resistant for me. I’m not strong enough to pedal fast enough at 8 to reach an aerobic threshold. “Hi” was impossible. I needed 1-3 resistance levels between 7 and 8 for the Merach to work for me. I don’t want to have to pedal at 25mph (probably a 95-105 rpm cadence, maybe higher) to get a decent workout.Anyway, I’ll probably keep the bike for my wife. She’s 5’6″–so length should not be a problem–and maybe she will find a comfortable resistance level between 5 and 6. If not, I will have to find a way to dispose of it (donation?). So, for the right size body, if one of the limited number of resistance points works for you, the Merach is an excellent low-cost purchase. It just won’t work for everyone.

Solid, easy to build
This was relatively easy to put together as advertised. The back mesh is comfortable. There was some initial “grinding” noises when I first used this as I pedaled, but that has gone away (?). Display works great, but it’s hidden when I have my iPad Pro on the stand (which fits nicely actually), so I have to lift the iPad out of the way to check my distance, speed, etc.). The side/pulse handles can be lifted out of the way when riding, which is good because when they are down, my phone in the side leg pocket of my bike shorts sometimes hits the handle when pedaling…so even though I’d like to, I almost never have the handles down. So that’s annoying, and it mostly leaves me with nowhere to put my hands (the handlebar handles are just a bit too far for me to be comfortable for any length of time). My biggest complaint though: the seat pad is ROCK HARD. There is no cushion whatsoever – you might as well be sitting on a board. I’m using a chair cushion when I ride this and I’m still getting tailbone pain after 20 mins or so. If I’m on for 45 mins or more, I’m pretty much in agony. Not sure it’s less comfortable than any other stationary bike given that I have a “flat butt” lol but..ouch. I’ve recently upgraded to a more expensive universal gel cushion and that seems to work better.I’m still using it because I paid decent money for it, and I’ve logged over 600 miles on it since I bought it about a month ago. It gets the job done, but honestly it’s not a very comfortable ride.

If you are overweight, you need a model that can handle it
My wife had a knee replacement procedure a few months ago and it has been a long and painful recovery process where she must exercise daily to keep mobility up. She asked me to buy an exercise bike but I wanted one I could use as well. Unfortunately, I weigh 300 lbs, and most economical exercise bikes can’t handle more than 275 lbs. The MERACH model MRK-S19-8A94 will handle up to 330 lbs.

Sturdy, well built bike
First of all, be aware that assembling this bike takes time and patience but was worth the effort! The bike is sturdy. I believe the first six tension levels could have more of a degree of difficulty between them. However, the last three levels give quite a good workout.I am 74 years old and am using the bike as a part of my cardiac rehab exercise. As I find the last two levels of tension adequate to my needs and the bike to be sturdy yet easy to move, I believe I shall be very happy with my purchase.

Not for me
I don’t know how can this be marketed as 8 resistance levels when it really only has 2 or 3? This is useless for someone who wants to build strength and endurance. The first 6 levels have NO resistance. I want a bike where the challenge is progressive. On this piece the first 6 levels are useless to me. However, I found that this company has outstanding customer service and they care about customer satisfaction. They made it right for me and I’m highly satisfied with the resolution. This is a well built, solid bike and would be a good choice for those in rehab from knee issues but is not adequate for others who want more progressive resistance options.

All But Silent
We really are pleased with this purchase for my rehab program. No one is complaining about the noise. It doesn’t require any effort to get in the seat. It doesn’t need to be plugged in to give you all the information you need. It doesn’t block anyone from seeing the TV.

Getting the seat attached is a nightmare!
It took longer to get the seat attached than the entire rest of the assembly combined. Getting those long bolts to line up to the holes on the other side while the seat is wobbling around was a nightmare. I had to call my daughter to come get the bolts through and she had a hard time too. I’ve never been so frustrated assembling something. Thankfully the rest of the assembly was fairly easy. I will update on performance after using it for a few weeks.

Awesome
Perfect for me. Fairly easy to set up but it really takes 2 people. Despite no arm activity, I just take my weights and use them. I did buy an extra padded seat to add for extra cushioning because I have sciatica issues.Easy to adjust to fit your body size. Takes up a smaller space than I thought so it’s in my living room so I can watch tv or listen to my music. I’m not sure how accurate the pad electronics are, but I use my Apple Watch so it doesn’t matter to me. For the price, it’s perfectly fine, I didn’t want to spend $1000+.

Nice bike
It’s a nice bike…but you can’t be over 6 feet tall and the last two settings is where the resistance is.

Well made
I bought this bike for my husband, who has medical issues that prevent him from exercising outdoors. This bike is perfect for him because it’s very heavy and sturdy, and he can sit comfortably on it without being afraid of falling off. We both love it!

Great bike for recovery from knee surgery.
The bike was very easy to assemble, instructions were good, they gave you the tools and some extra bolts. Wife used it and still is, really helped her strengthen her leg.

Sturdy, Good Quality
Very solid unit. Good Quality. Excellent value. Smooth motion. Quiet. Only issue is that readout/computer is very basic. No programs at all. Bluetooth capability allows the unit to be linked to workout apps on phone or tablet, which is great. No ability for apps to directly adjust resistance, but that’s no big deal – especially given the price point.

I’m 6′ 5″ and was worried my knees would hit the handles and be uncomfortable. My knees actually come nowhere near them. It’s comfy, and is a quick assembly. All I will say is I’m very impressed by the quality and professional look it has. Easy to move with 2 people.Let’s burn some calories!!!!!

BEST SELLER ON AMAZON! BEST RECUMBENT BIKE!
(Please read this from beginning to end, you will be glad you did!)Merach Fitness is quite simply the best seller I have dealt with in more than a decade of being an Amazon shopper. First, their customer service is unmatched in all of Amazon. I had a minor issue & the response was immediate, quite courteous. & resolved admirably, efficiently as well as quickly! It’s too bad Mercah Fitness cannot provide Customer Service training for the rest of the sellers on Amazon, we would all benefit! Next, the product itself, Merach Fitness S19 Recumbent Bike. The frame is heavy duty with a superior finish and comfortable seat which is easily adjustable even while still being seated. The LCD display is easy to read, informative & the perfect place for an ipad or phone. And I must mention the unique handlebars, different from all other recumbents. The “U” shape provides two different ways to hold and the perfect distance for a very comfortable ride. Almost done, the resistance shifter is first-class compared to a knob, easier to reach and quite smooth. The last thing I will mention is the QUALITY and even LOOK of this bike is remarkable. As you can see, I am a big fan, and you will be too! THANK YOU MERACH FITNESS!👍🏻 😎(This not a paid or compensated endorsement)

Not for large or tall people
Took about 1 hour to assemble, but I am very fast at assembly. I and my wife fit fine, 5′ 8″ 200 lbs( wife shorter and lighter), no problem. If you were 6 ft or more than 250 probably will be a problem. Comfortable enough for a 30 min ride. The tension gear shift does very little from 1-5, then 6 is a little bit harder, but 8 is pretty darn hard, and + setting is very hard. Happy with purchase for myself and wife.

This is a good basic bike
I purchased this because I’d been riding one at physical therapy. I like how it keeps my lower back stable while I exercise, since that’s the area of my body that was injured.I can still exercise while getting better with this bike.It has easy to use settings, and I like that it has handlebars back by the seat of the bike as well as up front. It even has a spot for a water bottle while you ride. It’s kind of fun to watch the calories you burn while you exercise too. I set mine up in front of the TV. Good overall purchase. Would definitely recommend.

They did the right thing
I bought this bike after researching for awhile. The bike came and was sturdy easy to ride and assemble. After 300 miles the bearings started to go out. I contacted the company and they refunded my money. I wish the bike worked because I like the product.

Nice well constructed bike
A few points so far.1 Took 2 early 70 year old’s 1.5 hours to build2 All parts available and well made.3 Bike probably considered a space saver. Slightly smaller footprint.Would consider mid weight. Easy enough to move but not a light weight toy.4 Bike very quiet. 8 resistance levels 1 to 5 not much difference. But 8 is very difficult. So probably good enough for most people.5 Display very rudimentary . Time Distance speed Odometer calories Pulse. No programs No Bluetooth. No fan Nice tablet or phone shelf.6 Cup holder probably requires 50 inch arms to be reachable while biking. For $380 I would consider this a good value and expect many years of usage.

Recumbent exercise bike.
This is a well built bike and easy to assemble. Our only disappointment was that we bought it to help my husband continue his recovery from knee replacement surgery. He is 6’2” and with the surgery his knee was not as flexible to use the bike as was. It was not quite long enough and the seat did not adjust upwards to provide additional distance from the seat to the pedals, so we had to improvise by putting cushions on the seat to make the distance longer. It helped and with flexibility returning in the knee he is now down to one additional seat cushion to provide the height. We will continue to use it.

Bolt alignment
Overall, this product is pretty stout. The only gripe I had assembling it was the two case bolts under the seat didn’t lineup without a little encouragement from a BFH.

LOVE IT – I had knee replacement and it’s awesome
My husband literally put it together in ten minutes. Best purchase EVER! I had my second knee replacement – first was on left knee in 2019 – and this time I was determine to do some rehab at home. This is perfect. It’s been 8 weeks, and I’m still riding (actually way more than expected). I will definitely keep using it. Comfortable and sturdy! GREAT VALUE – I have two other bikes not this comfortable or easy to use.

Very smooth and quiet ride.
Very happy with this bike. Very smooth and quiet ride. I am a 70 yr old female and was able to put it together myself. Had problems attaching the seat as it seems the bolts were too big to get through the holes smoothly. Eventually I just used a different bolt I had lying around which worked fine. Appears to be very well made. I would recommend this bike.

Perfect for this senior woman
I’ve been searching for a good recumbent bike for a few years. The seats are too high as is this one but I don’t find myself fighting to stay on the seat. There is not much difference in the resistance settings but I am not looking to build muscle so it works for me. I gave 5 stars as it suits my needs and I put it together myself. The instructions were easy to follow and it took less than an hour to set up.

Exercise
I’m old so assembly was a problem for me. Luckily I have a dear cousin that did that for me. Took about 3 Hrs from unpacking to finished assembly.I’ve been very idle for a while now. This bike is perfect. Gets me up and about 2 times a day!! 20 minutes and 3 and 1/2 miles each time. I’m thrilled

Nice bike
The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is the same reason everyone is a little bit disappointed.. the resistance settings. You really don’t get anything until level 7 but there is only 8 levels. So far 7 is good for me and I get a decent workout. Pedaling is very smooth and quiet.

Nice exercise bike
This bike is super quiet and smooth pedaling. My only complaint is with the seat, it needs to be padded more and the lever for changing the positioning forward or backward is not easy or smooth. But for the price it is a great bike and doesn’t take up much room.

Some good and some bad
I recently purchased an expensive Merach recumbent exercise bicycle. I purchased it to replace a Schwinn recumbent I had for almost 20 years. The direction to put the bicycle together were easily followed. I have been able to use the bicycle for the past three and a half weeks. It is comfortable to ride and easy to set the modes you want to use. The resistance adjustment does not provide very noticeable differences. I can easily ride this bicycle with almost maximum resistance. My prior bicycle offered a much greater range of resistance. The ride is smooth and the seat is very comfortable. The seat adjustment is horrible. In the middle of riding you would find that it slipped quite a bit. I have had to tie a rope around it to keep it in place. The pulse reading is very inconsistent. I may show a range of 25 to 30 heart beat differences. All in all my rating of a 3 is generous.

I was surprised how comfortable the bike is.
The bike is very heavy and well made. Had to have my grandson put the bike together, the directions were easy to follow, still took awhile. What impressed me the most was how comfortable it was. The backrest is wide and fit my back comfortably, the seat is large and has good padding. The gears are easy to change.I’m 88, and rode it for 20 minutes, while watching TV. I’m so happy I bought it. I definitely recommend buying it.
